How many students can visit the bus at a time?

30 students at a time will be attending the bus activities.  We divide them into two groups and have two activities at the same time.  One activity on the bus and one in a classroom at the school.

How long is a STEM Bus field trip?

We would like to visit your school for a minimum of three 50 minute sessions.  This helps us on efficiency of the bus and we get to see more students!

What does the school need to do to prepare for a STEM Bus field trip?

​

Before the bus arrives our staff will need a schedule of times for the groups.  This can be arranged and sent to Julie Maxfield at our office or with your submission request.  Class sessions are 50 minutes for a maximum of 30 students in each session.

At least one staff member from the school will need to remain with the groups in order to help shuttle students to and from our two sessions and help us supervise.

​

One activity takes place on the bus, but we will need one classroom/library area to hold our second activity.  This room needs sound, a projector, and tables/desks for students.
